The National Elections Commission (NEC) has informed the public that additional meal payment allowances for temporary staff for the on-going biometric voter registration (BVR) exercise began Monday, April 3, 2023.

“The Commission wants temporary staff to know that their honorarium is also being processed,” the NEC, in a press release, said.

The statement from NEC Monday said payment for temporary staff will be made in keeping with the contractual arrangements.

The Commission said it is pleased with the exceptional display of devotion exhibited by the temporary staff since the start of the BVR exercise on March 20, 2023. The NEC statement assured the temporary staff that their concerns will be addressed in a timely manner.

Meanwhile, the National Elections Commission (NEC) is appealing to temporary staff to always channel their grievances through their Electoral Supervisors and the Elections Magistrates within the six counties of Grand Bassa, Grand Cape Mount, Bomi, Montserrado, Gbarpolu and Margibi.
