The Political Leader of the Democratic People’s Party of Liberia (DPPL), Rev. David G.B. Kiamu, says if elected as President after the October 10, 2023 general and presidential elections his priority will be the safety of the Liberian people. According to him, his government will strengthen the security sector of the country.

He made the statement on July 20, 2023 at his residence in Margibi County during a conversation with the Hot Pepper.

The DPPL standard bearer noted that one of the key issues confronting the wellbeing of Liberians is the lack of  safety, as admitted to by the Liberian leader, President George Manneh Weah.

He said his government will provide straight-forward law and order for the public, though his government will be characterized by servant leadership. According to him, his government will provide people-centered leadership. He admonished Liberians to avoid anyone using cash for vote during campaign in the country.

Rev. Kiamu said Liberia is at a critical point and needs everyone’s participation. He spoke on a wide range of national issues confronting the wellbeing of Liberia, but ended by calling on all Liberians for unity in their approach to the presidency.
