Amb. Sleyon Condemns Electoral Violence
US-based Liberian Gospel musician, Ambassador Charles Sleyon, has condemned recent electoral violence taking place in Liberia.
Ambassador Sleyon said he wants the Government of Liberia (GOL), headed by the CDC, to ensure the safety of all Liberians regardless of political party.
According to him, Liberians at home should reject every form of violence during times like these in the country. He said the election is key to the country’s forward march, and that every Liberian citizen needs to take it seriously.
Ambassador Sleyon noted that it is time for every Liberian citizen to exercise their political rights under a violence-free election atmosphere in Liberia.
He reiterated that any attempt by politicians seeking their own interest will take Liberia backward, which he added should not be tolerated by any Liberian citizen to bring back the dark days.
The Gospel musician stated that Liberia has improved like countries in the West African region, and what is needed is the support from every Liberian to make it shine well in Africa.
