The Chief Executive Officer of the Bukonjadeh Group of Companies has warned Liberian youth against violence in the country.

Elton Johns stated that the peace is still fragile and the youth of Liberia should not allow any politician or group of politicians to get them into violent acts that could undermine the peace and stability of the nation.

Johns made the assertion over the weekend in Monrovia, as tension continues to build up on Capitol Hill on the removal of the Speaker, Cllr. J. Fonati Koffa, by the “majority bloc” of the House of Representatives.
He warned the youth to desist from violence, as Liberians are about to celebrate the Christmas season.
According to him, peace is crucial for the transformation of Liberia, and the young people have the responsibility to maintain the peace and stability of Liberia.

The Bukonjadeh boss emphasized that the leadership of the “majority bloc” should ensure peace and reconciliation among members of the “minority bloc”, rather than suspending some of them.
He noted that without reconciliation among national leaders, progress and development of the country will be difficult to achieve.

He urged that members of the House of Representatives put the interest of the Liberian people first and work together to move the nation forward.

Johns asserted that Liberia and its people have gone through many struggles over the years as a result of leadership crisis, and this has undermined the potential and growth of the country and its people.

He said it is about time that leaders demonstrate commitment and dedication to the Liberian people and not take the people for granted.
