The Supreme Court of Liberia Justice in Chamber, Her Honor Ceaineh Clinton-Johnson, has placed a stay order on the on-going trial involving former Finance Minister Samuel Tweah and others at Criminal Court “C”, Temple of Justice.

The court halted the proceeding while calling on the parties to appear for a conference on Monday, March 10, 2025 at the hour of 9:00 a.m. in the Justice’s chamber.

The Hot Pepper’s judicial correspondent said the stay order follows a petition for a writ of prohibition prayed for by the defendants, which initiated from a motion to dismiss the indictment but was denied by Judge Roosevelt Willie.

It can be recalled that former Finance Minister Samuel Tweah and others in their motion said they acted upon the national security act that saw the withdrawal of unauthorized funds from the institution’s account in the tune of L$1,055,152 and US$500,000 from the Central Bank of Liberia.
