The Liberia Dujar High School held its 21st graduation exercise for academic year 2024/2025 over the weekend at the New Life Ministries Center in Bardnersville, outskirts of Monrovia.

Speaking during the graduation ceremony, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Cable Consortium of Liberia (CCL), Henry W. Benson, challenged the graduates of Dujar to pursue their dreams in education.

Chairman Benson noted that the graduating class was referred to as “Invictus”, which means unconquered individuals who are determined to achieve their goals no matter the challenges that come before them.

According to him, Liberia needs young Liberians who are committed to achieving their ambitions despite prevailing political, economic and social situations the nation faces at this time.

He underscored that graduates should be determined to pursue their career path in any profession, such as medicine, civil engineering, accounting, piloting, Law, IT, gastronomy, osteology, veterinary science, among others, to strengthen the human resource development of Liberia in the near future.

Chairman Benson admonished parents of the graduates to continue to support their children for higher education at the university level, despite the economic constraints facing families in the country.

Meanwhile, the Principal of the Liberia Dujar High School, Pastor James M.T. Gbolumah, said Dujar is firmly built upon sound educational policies that offer every Liberian child the opportunity to transform their lives into skillful, productive and meaningful ones.

“Glory be to God for our beloved parents who entrusted these children into our love and care. We highly appreciate the collective efforts of our astute, professional, committed and hardworking support, institutional and teaching staff, whose contributions we highly commend,” Principal Gbolumah added.

According to him, “As we celebrate another milestone of our school’s history, I owe it an obligation and gratitude to extend thanks and appreciation to the leadership of the Liberia Dujar Association Sweden and Liberia, Chairman and members of the Board, the Parent- Teacher Association, the Dujar High School Alumina Association, among others.

He urged the graduates to maintain the values which have been instilled in them at Dujar High School, and let their faith remain the compass to continue to seek wisdom. He urged them to walk in purpose and pursue excellence in all their doings.

For his part, the Executive Director of Liberia Dujar Association, Dennis Toe, promised to lobby for scholarship for graduate Florence D. Garley, who is physical challenged, to obtain higher education at the university level.

Director Toe stated that graduate Garley is a symbol of “invictus”, unconquered, despite her physically challenged situation. He said she pursued a high school diploma, and providing scholarship for her to pursue a degree will go a long way to encourage several physically challenged individuals to take education seriously.

Toe expressed thanks and appreciation to the administrative staff, teaching staff, parents and guardians for helping to build the manpower development for the growth and development of Liberia, noting that the transformation of the country depends on the collective effort of every Liberian citizen.

In a related development, the dux for academic year 2024/2025 of the Liberia Dujar High School, Prince Boygeh, has encouraged fellow graduates to be determined to pursue their dreams in education.

Dux Boygeh said Liberia is waiting for their expertise to transform the nation. He noted that more than 140 students went for the West African Senior School Certificates Examination (WASSCE), administered by the West African Council Examination (WACE), and all students passed in the examination, as well as that of the school.
