The Feminist Coalition, through the Liberian Feminist Forum (LFF), has successfully concluded a three-day Training of Trainers (TOT) Workshop held from November 10–12, 2025, at the Liberia learning center in Paynesville. The workshop served as a follow-up to the initial women’s rights training held in April this year under the theme, “Promoting Women’s Rights in Liberia.”

This latest phase brought together 25 participants from the Feminist Coalition and other women’s rights organizations across Liberia. The goal was to strengthen their capacity to serve as trainers and multipliers of feminist knowledge and advocacy within their respective organizations and communities.

Facilitated by Tennen Darlieh Tehoungue, a Transitional Justice Specialist and women’s rights advocate, the TOT built upon the foundation laid in the first workshop focusing on Feminist Political Education, Feminist Leadership, Feminist Organization, and Mobilization. Participants were engaged in intensive sessions that emphasized practical training skills, facilitation techniques, and strategies for sustaining feminist movement building in Liberia.

Tehoungue commended the participants for their dedication and commitment to advancing gender equality. She emphasized that equipping women with feminist analysis and leadership skills is essential for transforming Liberia’s socio-political landscape and ensuring the inclusion of women’s voices in all spheres of decision-making.

While speaking of the following topics, “Feminism”, “Voice and Storytelling in Movement Building”, she cautioned the participants to be careful as feminists how to tell their stories to avoid amplifying injustice.

In her remarks, a representative of the Liberia Feminist Forum, Decontee Julu, lauded the continued partnership and support of the “Stronger Together Project”, funded by Medica Mondiale and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). She noted that the follow-up TOT demonstrates the Forum’s commitment to deepening feminist knowledge and expanding the reach of women’s rights advocacy at both local and national levels.

Participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity to learn, share experiences, and develop practical tools for advocacy and community mobilization. Many pledged to replicate the training within their networks to ensure that feminist principles continue to shape Liberia’s development agenda.

The Liberia Feminist Forum, through the Feminist Coalition, said they remain committed to advancing women’s empowerment, collective action, and transformative leadership as critical pathways to equality and justice in Liberia.
