Peace Home School of Health Assistants over the weekend held its 15th graduation exercise at the Bethesda Assembly of God Church on 72nd, S.K.D Boulevard, Paynesville, outskirts of Monrovia.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer of the Medicines and More Pharmacy, Jimmy N. Karmo, challenged the graduates to pursue their dream in the nursing profession at the higher level in Liberia.

Dr. Karmo stated that getting a certificate in nursing assistance is not enough to make a great impact in the health sector of the nation and the world at large: seeking further studies in the health profession will go a long way to improve and strengthen the human resource development in the health sector of the country.

He urged the graduates to remain humble and disciplined to achieve their dream of becoming professional nurses in the near future.

Dr. Karmo maintained, โ€œAfter graduation, what next?โ€, but reminded the graduates that they should continue to seek knowledge in the nursing and health delivery system.

Meanwhile, the Proprietor and the Chief Executive Officer of the Peace Home Medical Clinic and School of Health Assistants, Dr. Joseph T. K. Boakai, said parents and guardians should support their children to advance at the university level of the profession.

Dr. Boakai stated that their graduation from the Peace Home School of Health Assistants is just the beginning of pursuing careers in the health profession of the country.

He said parents and guardians should do everything possible to ensure that these young graduates continue to advance themselves in the health sector.

He pointed out that nurses are needed in clinics and hospitals across Liberia and abroad to help to save lives, noting that they are important in the community.

Dr. Boakai underscored that Peace Home School of Health Assistants is intended to help in building the minds of the Liberian youths to help reduce the burden of disease of the country.

For her part, the Dux of the class, “Integrity”, 2025, of the Peace Home School of Health Assistants, Deborah Mulbah, said nurse aids are crucial for the health system in Liberia.

Dux Mulbah stated that health assistants are the engine of the health delivery sector, noting that they are frontliners meeting patients at health facilities first, before the nurses and doctors can intervene in their health situation.
