The Liberia Youth Initiative (LYI) has honored the Deputy Minister for Administration, Ministry of Health, Martha Morris, as Deputy Minister of the Year 2025.
Speaking to newsmen over the weekend, the Secretary General of LYI, Hilary Gardner, said Deputy Minister Morris was honored for her outstanding performance during the year under review.
Gardner described Deputy Minister Morris as goal-directed, result-oriented, and a self-motivated professional Liberian with a background in nursing education, project management, administration, and community-based empowerment.
According to him, her strong communication, organizational and leadership skills, coupled with her commitment to excellence and continued improvement, makes her a strong support to the successes of the Minister of Health, Dr. Louise Kpoto, and the Ministry of Health in general.
He emphasized her societal contributions, which goes beyond the Health Ministry, noting that her humanitarian traits have placed her character at high standards. He disclosed that Deputy Minister Morris offered scholarships and financial aid to several students, and as well helped to cater to several persons medical situations.
He noted that, based on these and several other factors, the Liberia Youth Initiative (LYI) deemed Morris the most fit for their honor as Deputy Minister of the Year 2025. He then congratulated her, and urged her to see the award as a motivation to do more during the next year.
