The Liberia Chamber of Mines, in collaboration with the Ministry of Mines and Energy, participated in the just-ended Future Minerals Forum (FMF) 2026, held in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Liberian delegation was led by the Minister of Mines and Energy, R. Matenokay Tingban, alongside Amara Kamara, President of the Liberia Chamber of Mines.

The Future Minerals Forum is a global, government-led platform shaping the future of the minerals sector. Since its launch in 2022, FMF has grown into the world’s leading minerals gathering, convening representatives from over 100 governments, industry leaders, multilateral institutions, academia, and civil society to advance investment, sustainability, and transparency across the mineral value chain.

The Forum serves as the premier space for government-industry dialogue, focusing on turning ambition into action through practical solutions that support infrastructure development, capacity building, and responsible mining.

The Liberia Chamber of Mines and the Ministry of Mines and Energy reaffirmed their commitment to attracting investment and promoting foreign direct investment (FDI) into Liberia’s extractive industries through continued international engagements.

“Liberia needs sustained investment, and the Liberia Chamber of Mines will continue to pursue every opportunity to achieve this,” said Amara Kamara, President, Liberia Chamber of Mines.
