The issue of reproductive health is said to be one of the major health challenges confronting many Liberians. Some people affected by this problem seem to be giving up due to the lack of quality drugs in pharmacies and health facilities in the country to cater to their health needs.
Dr. Dennis, a young Liberian Gynecologist, Obstetrician/ Reproductive Endocrinologist and the owner of Godwin Reproductive Health Pharmacy & Fertility Consultation, 12th Street, has said that her pharmacy is providing some solutions to people with fertility issues. Dr. Dennis noted that they offer access to high quality medication that treat a broad spectrum of fertility and reproductive modality, including male reproduction.
According to her, they offer after-hours consultation with people suffering from fertility issues. She said as a beneficiary of Merck Foundation from India, which studies sexual reproductive health care, it is incumbent upon her to give back to the society which she comes from. Dr. Dennis stated that male reproductive health is key in every society, because if male sexual reproductive health is not taken care of the society will not grow.
She added that since Goodwin Reproductive Health Pharmacy and Consultation’s establishment in April 2021, they have impacted lots of people. When asked regarding the quality of drugs provided to the public, she responded as saying that the drugs are all from abroad, mainly Kenya, Ghana, among other countries.
She used the opportunity to call on individuals with reproductive health and fertility issues to come for consultation and recommendation.
