The Board of Commissioners (BOC) of the National Elections Commission (NEC) says it has received the final report from the NEC Advisor on Constituency Delimitation, following the conduct of an assessment to inform electoral constituency delimitation for the 2023 general elections in Liberia.

The 17-page report on constituency delimitation presented by the NEC Consultant, Archie Delaney, consists of several findings and recommendations, which he described as the foundation for conducting free, fair, credible and transparent elections globally.

Archie Delaney presented the report Tuesday to the BOC, through its Chairperson, Cllr. Davidetta Browne Lansanah, witnessed by a number of government agencies, including the Governance Commission (GC), the Liberia Institute for Geo-Information Services (LISGIS), the Chairperson on Autonomous Agencies and Elections of the Liberian Senate, Dr. Henric Tokpa, and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Electoral Support Office to Liberia.

A key recommendation from the Delaney report indicates that the current Administrative Boundaries are negatively impacting the work of the LISGIS, which could also have a ramification for a successful delimitation process.
