After House’s Failure To Grant Them Audience: Motorcyclists Threaten Another Protest Action!
Motorcyclists under the banner, “Supreme Motorcycle Transport Union of Liberia”, have threatened another protest action after the House of Representatives’ Committee on Transport failed to give them audience on Capitol Hill.
Addressing the press minutes after they were allegedly denied audience by the House’s Committee, the motorcyclists, angrily, announced that they will come outside on Monday and will not rest until their issues are heard.
“After waiting for three hours at the Capitol Building with no courtesy, sadly we were told that the meeting with the Committee on Transport will not be held again because they were meeting with Western Cluster,” the leadership of the group told newsmen.
“We believe our lawmakers should be representing our interest, with the hope that our issues will be resolved, but they just proved to us that they respect the white man more than their own citizens. It is shameful and embarrassing to see,” the group stated.
