Scores of citizens from district #1, Montserrado County, have rallied their support for the political ambition of aspirant Pewee Sando of the Liberia Transformation Party (LTP), who is said to be making headways in among his competitors.

According to information from the district, Sando has been involved into development activities, as well as providing solutions to issues affecting the livelihood of the people.

At a recent meeting organized by team Sando and held at the Crowd Hotel, Du-Port Road, Paynesville, the residents provided financial support toward aspirant Sando’s campaign activities, generating over L$100,000.

They promised to provide more support to aspirant Sando until he succeeds in the pending legislative election.

The residents said their support is due to aspirant Sando’s commitment to address their concerns, even at the time when he is not the seated representative.

Montserrado County’s district #1 is one of the isolated districts of the county due to the lack of development. Citizens in the district are said to be drinking from creeks and other polluted wells, with a deplorable living condition due to poor leadership structure.

In response to the citizens support, aspirant Sando promised to continue the team work if elected by the people.

He said he was born in the district and understands the issues affecting the wellbeing of the people. According to him, it is about time that the residents vote for themselves, as he is one of them.

“We have been voting for people who do not know nothing about the district, but it’s time now we correct ourselves,” he said.
