Simeon Freeman Blasts Voters

MPC Political Leader, Simeon Freeman

The Political Leader of the Movement for Progressive Change, Simeon Freeman, has blasted voters for being in the habit of electing people because of money.

Speaking over the weekend during the induction ceremony of officials of Team Curtis, where he served as Guest Speaker, Freeman said Liberian voters vote for politicians who exhibit affluence temporarily, but have no policies and traceable track record.

He further said many voters call politicians “talk and do” because of the cash these individuals give during campaign season. He warned voters of the mistake they made in previous elections, which should not be made in 2023.

George Norman, the Political Leader of Team Curtis, lauded the effort of members of the team since the loss of the late Political leader George V. Curtis, the City Mayor of Brewerville.

Norman warned political actors of the district who have ambition for the 2023 election to double up, as Team Curtis will play a key role in the politics of the district, asserting that the team will set a high agenda for 2023.

Team Curtis is a political movement which started in 2014 to ensure that the late Curtis, district #17, Monterssdo County, was elected in 2017, but he lost  to Representative Hanson Kiazolu.

Several prominent citizens, including Soko Wiles and Abraham Sesey, attended the ceremony.

Those inducted are Sumaila Massaley, Chairman; Thomas Sambollah, Co-Chair Administration; Solomon Siryon,  Co-Chair for Operation; John B. Morrison, Co-Chair for Fiscal Affairs; Carter Dorbor, General Secretary; James Johnson, amongst others.
