The Founder and General Overseer of the Golden Lamp International Ministry (GLIM), Apostle S. Lee Gegeh, has challenged Liberians to honor the dignity of hard work to improve their living standard and transform the nation’s development.

Apostle S. Lee Gegeh stated that Liberians should take pride in the dignity to work in order to advance the socio- economic development of the country.

Apostle Gegeh made the assertion Sunday when he was honored as the “Outstanding Pastor in District #17”, Montserrado County, by the Concerned Journalists Association of Liberia. The occasion was held in central Virginia, Brewerville, outside Monrovia.

According to him, the dignity of working will make one successful in any endeavor, but some Liberians do not want to work to transform their status in life; instead, they are always begging others to give them alm.

He emphasized that God believes in blessing the handwork of His people, and if Liberians fail to work hard it will be difficult for Liberia to be developed.

Apostle Gegeh lamented that Liberians wish that the country will be developed without working, but their wishes will not come to reality if they do not work.

He pointed out that in Liberia everything the government should do it. However, the people are the government who should work hard to move the nation forward.

The GLIM Founder explained that no individual can be successful if he or she does not work hard to obtain success, adding that laziness is depressing some Liberians from living good lives.

He noted that Liberia is blessed with natural resources but the people remain poor, which should not be so but bad habit toward work can lead to this kind of situation.

He asserted that no foreigner and partners support can transform the development of the country and its people, noting that it is only Liberians who can develop their nation through hard work.

Apostle Gegeh claimed that the people of South Korea faced a similar situation like Liberia some time ago, but they decided to develop their country and people through hard work and commitment to duty.

According to him, no matter who becomes President of Liberia, if Liberians do not develop good work habit to improve development in the society it will be difficult for real transformation to take place in this generation.
