Armah and Lydia Lansanah Charity Foundation Begins 2022 Free Liberian Children Christmas Donation
The Liberian charity and humanitarian organization, Armah and Lydia Lansanah Foundation (ALLF) on Saturday began the first in a series of three separate humanitarian services valued at nearly US$18,000 at the Mother Victoria Thomas Orphanage Home in the New Matadi community in Monrovia. The Chief Financial Officer of the foundation, Lydia Kannah-Lansanah, said the donation begins the 2022 annual humanitarian services to put smiles on the faces and save lives of hundreds of destitute and less fortunate Liberian children during this festive season of Christmas in Liberia.
Lydia Lansanah said the donation is being sponsored by their business, the Master Cleaning and Consulting Services, based in Minnesota, the United States of America. Assorted Christmas donation to the Mother Victoria Thomas Orphanage Home included rice, oil, clothing, shoes, educational materials, exercise books, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes as well as toy candies.
Serving as keynote speaker, former Internal and Postal Affairs Minister for Administration, Soko V. Sackor, promised to actively get involved in public services mainly through the association with other like-minded Liberians who see the development of children as the future leaders of Liberia, speaking highly of the development of the girl child through proper education.
As a show of good faith to the development of orphanage children mainly the girl child, Sackor made a commitment to provide a parcel of land in Bong County, his origin county, to be used by the Armah and Lydia Lansanah Foundation solely for the development of orphans and less privileged children in Liberia, not forgetting about girl children.
The Founder, Armah, his wife, Lydia, and their three children officially presented the assorted items to Mother Victoria.
For his part, the Chief Executive Officer of ALLF, Armah Lansanah, extended thanks and gratitude to a number of persons locally and internationally who made the donation a success, including Dr. Quinton de’ Alexander of the We Dream in Color Foundation based in Chicago, the United States, for the donation of a barrel of assorted items. Lansanah praised the local ALLF team in Liberia as well as local and international contributors for the job well done to ensure that the first in a series of 2022 Christmas-free donation is successful.
Responding to the humanitarian gesture on behalf of the Mother Victoria Thomas Orphanage Home, the son of Mother Victoria, Pastor Jutomu Willie Suah, lavished praises and thanks in appreciation for the 2022 annual Christmas goodies for the children, who are appreciative and in need of such a gesture. Pastor Suah said he was not surprise to see that one of their sons, Armah Lansanah, who grew up in the New Matadi slum community, would always come back to give back to his own community to lift orphanage children out of poverty, and prayed that God will continue to bless his wife, Lydia Lansanah, who stands as the backbone to Armah.
Lansanah said a similar donation valued thousands of United States dollars will shortly be given to two other orphanage homes in Margibi County.
For nearly five years the Armah and Lydia Lansanah Foundation has been providing annual humanitarian assistance in Liberia to thousands of less fortunate and underprivileged children mainly in Montserrado County.
