The once political safe haven of Ambassador Joseph N. Boakai and the Unity Party (UP), the capital of Lofa County, Voinjama, has politically fallen, with the masses of the electorate endorsing the blue revolution of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) and its leader, President George M. Weah.

The hospitable people of Lofa County are proving to be changing the political narrative of the county, being a no-go zone for President Weah and the CDC and being a reservation for Boakai and the UP, with the residents giving President Weah and his entourage a triumphant entry into the capital city, Voinjama.

The Weah-Taylor Victory Campaign entered Lofa on Monday, with Salayea and Zorzor districts receptively receiving the President and his entourage. On Tuesday, the campaign headed toward Voinjama—a city that have seen massive development during the Weah administration.

Thousands of partisans, supporters, and citizens trooped to receive the entourage, expressing their support for the President’s re-election bid.

They expressed appreciation for the numerous development initiatives being undertaken in the county, and vowed to ensure that the President is overwhelmingly elected in the county, as he has proved to be good man with a good heart.

They committed to produce a result far different from that of the 2017’s general and presidential elections, but with a pledge from the President that he will continue the development spree in the county. They expressed appreciation for the employment of a barrage of sons and daughters of the county in the government, and urged the President not to be deterred by the voices of detractors and propagandists.

In response, President Weah reiterated his thanks and appreciation to the people of Lofa County for the support rendered him in the years past, which he said summed up the total votes he received nationwide to become President. He emphasized the importance of re-electing him in order to continue the road and other development projects.

He observed that he is the best among the twenty presidential candidates in the 2023 political race, with a proved track-record of being development-oriented and nationalistic.
