The management of Bea Mountain Mining Corporation (BMMC) has celebrated the 177th Independence Day with its host communities.

Kinjor, Matambo, Ndablama, and Weajue are host communities that formed part of the program held at the Kinjor Town Hall in Darblo Clan, Konneh District.

At the well-organized program on Friday, July 26, 2024 the company bestowed honor and certificated several eminent citizens and stakeholders of the concession area for their valuable services rendered to the company, and also for their roles in helping to maintain peace within the concession area.

The program brought together the senior management of Bea Mountain, stakeholders of Grand Cape Mount County, to include Senator Simeon B. Taylor, Representative Mohammed Dosii, Superintendent Folley Kiatamba, traditional leaders, local officials of the county youths and women groups, among others.

Serving as guest speaker during the program, Grand Cape Mount County Superintendent, Folley Kiatamba, said he was very excited to have been invited to form a part of the program, and lauded the management of Bea Mountain Mining Corporation for the level of development undertaken in the county.

Kiatamba said his administration is willing to always work with the citizens as well as the management of Bea Mountain Mining Corporation to foster peace and development in the county.

Most of the leaders who spoke at the program encouraged the citizens to unite for the growth and development of their beloved county.

The county’s officials further called on residents of Cape Mount to always remain peaceful and constructively engage the company whenever there are issues.
