The enclosed contract between the people of Larr Clan, Laa-Ma and Gopoe Liberia Incorporated entails that the company constructs the Jennemana Peace Town Hall. For this, US$6,000 was given as advanced payment for the contract, which constitutes 30% of the total project cost.

According to the MOU, “As per the contract between the people of Laar Clan and the Golden Venture for the renovation and construction of the Beh Gondor Clinic, the total estimated cost is US$9,600, of which US$5,200 will be released as advanced payment.

For the construction of the Beh Gondor Clinic Security Booth, Waiting Room and Fence, 30% of the total cost will also be released. As per the enclosed contract between the people of Laar Clan and Adul Karim Jalloh for the renovation and construction of the Gold Camp Town Hall, US$5,200 will be released as advanced payment for their contractor.

“For the renovation of the Gold Camp Town Hall and construction of the Gold Camp Town Hall office space and bathroom, 50% of the total project cost will be released.”

These projects are expected to start on November 24, 2022.

During the signing ceremony, the Project Committee Chairman of Laar Clan, Charles D. Cooper, lauded the management of BMMC for the funding, and promised his committee’s commitment to fully implement and maintain the projects.

Cooper mentioned that these projects, when completed, will strengthen the relationship between the clans and Bea Mountain management.

Also speaking, the Youth Chairman of Laar Clan, Sirleaf Gondah, appreciated the management of BMMC for buttressing government’s effort by taking development to Laar Clan. He promised to closely work with the committee in ensuring the full implementation of the projects.

In separate remarks, the Community Relations Superintendent of BMMC, Henry V. Vincent, assured the Laar Clan Project Committee of BMMC’s full compliance for the availability of funding to implement all projects in the three Clans of Gola Konneh District, Grand Cape Mount County. He noted that the BMMC management was very excited for the signing of the landmark projects.

The CR Superintendent further reiterated the commitment of Bea Mountain’s General Manager, Reza Karimiyan, in ensuring that the Clan Development Funds are available annually.

Vincent used the occasion to call on the leadership of the county and the clans to support the company’s initiatives for the common good of all.

At the same time, Vincent has called on citizens of Gola Konneh District to see these projects as their own, which will boost their relationship with the management of Bea Mountain and avoid protest, which has the ability to delay the smooth implementation of the Clan Development Fund.

He promised to continue the signing process with Mana and Darblo clans within the coming days to jumpstart their projects.

“We look forward to seeing the completion of these projects in Laar Clan within the period of three months, and that chiefs should mobilize resources to support local contractors completing these projects on time,” he stated.
