Bible Way Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ Worldwide Incorporated commenced its 70th Holy Annual Convention on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at the Guiding Star Temple, New Kru Town.
The 70th Holy Annual Convention is held under the theme, “We Have Come To Say Thank You”, Psalm 95:1—3, and brings together thirty-six Bible Way churches from fourteen of the fifteen counties in Liberia.
The special statement from the Diocesan Bishop and Chairman of the Foreign Mission Board of the Bible Way Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ World Wide (Liberia), Bishop Aloysius N. Nimely, Sr., stated that they should not neglect the assembly as some people do, but they should make it their ecclesiastical business to encourage one another, especially when the day of the Lord’s return is near.
Bishop Nimely said, “It is my ardent prayer that, by your significant presence and participation this gathering will provoke members to promulgate the name of Jesus Christ through inspiration, prayer and offertory.”
According to him, “Scripture constantly reminds us that it is good for brethren to dwell together in one accord. Through unity, there is always understanding, and where there is understanding institutions such as the church will experience growth and development.”
Bishop Nimely maintained that serving the Lord is difficult, but through prayer they shall overcome.
“Delegates, I am hopeful that your attendance on this annual event will mark another important day in the history of the church; henceforth, let the Holy Spirit rest upon you as you endorse the effort of the leadership despite its troubling times,” he added.
He asserted that, with God everything is possible and members of the church should be hopeful.
Meanwhile, the President of the National United Christian Alliance of Liberia, Bishop Benjamin Doe-Wion, said Liberians should be grateful to God for His goodness.
Bishop Doe-Wion pointed out that some people are ungrateful to those who helped them in the past, and warned Liberians to be thankful.
He emphasized that Liberians should reflect on how God has taken them through the 14 years civil war, Ebola and COVID-19 and continue to bless the nation and its people.
