Bukonjadeh Group of Companies celebrates 15 years of existence on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 as a micro-financing institution in Liberia.

Bukonjadeh is a 100 percent Liberian-owned micro-finance institution established in 2008 on the main campus of the University of Liberia Capitol Hill,  which assisted several students at the campus with financial aid to pay their school fees at the time.

Bukonjadeh has over the years provided microloans to several Liberians who are working in government ministries and agencies, including the two houses of the National Legislature, which have help some of them to build their dwelling place across Monrovia and its environs.

As the celebration of Bukonjadeh also fall in the birth month of the Chief Executive Officer of the company, several customers have expressed thanks and appreciation to him for creating an opportunity for some  of them who have been confronted with financial difficulties over the years to get some financial relief.

They promised to be committed to Bukonjadeh, which rescued their financial status when they were in dire need of financial help. Bukonjadeh was there to ensure the amount needed was given on time.

According to the boss of Bukonjadeh, Elton Johns, it is the doing of God that the company has overcome several challenges thus far, and by his grace the company will continue to acknowledge God in its endeavor.

Johns noted that managing a financial institution is not an easy task, but God has made things possible for the  company and the good relationship with its customers.

He explained that Liberians should be determined to venture into business, which will go a long way in empowering them economically.

According to him, the company has embarked on a project to help disadvantaged youth and the disabled community in the country.

Johns underscored that his company also intends to expand its microloan scheme to other ministries and agencies which have been covered by Bukonjadeh, and hoped that they will be covered as soon as possible.

In a related development, Johns maintained that Liberians in the nine counties that are going through the voter registration should not be allowed to be trucked to register in counties and districts which they do not reside in.

He noted that trucking undermines the democratic tenets which Liberia has been trying to build after 14 years of civil conflict.

Johns warned that trucking of voter is an image of bad representation for the counties and districts involved, and Liberians should desist from it.

He then expressed happy Ramadan Day as Muslims in Liberia and around the world, who celebrated the end of Ramadan over the weekend, especially to his wife who observed the Holy Month of Ramadan.

He asserted that Liberia is at a crossroad with the pending presidential and legislative elections, and that the Muslim community has prayed for the nation through their month-long fasting and praying, which Allah has already answered.
