The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Bukonjadeh Group of Companies has underscored the need for Liberians to maintain peace and stability in Liberia.

Elton Johns stated that peace and stability in any nation will attract foreign investors to invest in the development of the nation, with Liberia no exception.

Johns made the assertion Thursday in Monrovia as the political campaign intensifies across the country.

“Liberia is the only country we have, and every Liberian should exercise restraint while they are campaigning for their respective political parties and independent candidates,” he stated.

According to him, peace and political tolerance should be the hallmark to enhance the democratic process in Liberia, and the Liberian youths should be mindful about campaign activities in order to be safe during and after the process.

Johns maintained that peace is essential for the growth and development of the people and the nation as whole, and it is every Liberian’s responsibility to ensure that the country remains peaceful despite their political differences.

He urged Liberian politicians to campaign in the manner that will ensure peaceful campaign among their followers, rather than creating confusion.

He noted that the all players in the electoral process have a unique role to play for peace and stability to be sustained during and after the election on October 10, 2023.

Johns emphasized that, with peace, Liberia will attract foreign investment to help create more jobs for the people.

He warned Liberian youths not to engage in activities due to politicians’ influence to undermine the peace and stability of the nation.
