Candidate Kantara Kamara Vows To Transform LINTU

As members of the Liberia National Truckers Union (LINTU) gear up for their election soon, Mohammed Kantara Kamara, a Presidential-Candidate on the ticket of the Movement for Progressive Change (MPC), has assured members of the organization of vibrant leadership if elected their next president. The MPC presidential-candidate in the coming LNTU election told this paper recently that he has come to the election process to contest for the presidency of LINTU with lots of tangible to transform the institution.

According to him, seeking the welfare of members of the LINTU, accountability, fighting corruption, transparency, construction of a modern headquarter and uniting the members will be high on the agenda of his administration. Kamara also stated that capacity building of his members will also be high on his administration’s agenda. He further promised to decentralize activities of LNTU.

The MPC presidential-candidate in coming LNTU election continued that the rights of all members will be respected under his administration. He stated that his leadership will bring back the lost image of LNTU. Kamara disclosed that his leadership will open an account for the institution and put in place a good financial system at the LNTU.

According to him, for too long the LNTU activities have been damaged. He added that, his leadership will make sure that activities of the institution are reawaken. He also promised to work with relevant institutions at the port to move the institution forward. Kamara stated that if elected to the presidency or the LNTU he will be ready to work with the management of the National Port Authority (NPA) in many ways for the growth and development of the country.

Members on the ticket of the Movement for Progressive Change (MPC) of Mohamed Kantara Kamara include Wolovah Edwin Nkpah, Vice President; Wah Seyon, Secretary General; Jimmy Kor, Operation Manager; Hassan Barry, Deputy Operation Manager; and Victoria M. Kolubah, Treasurer.
