Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung has officially arrived in Voinjama City, Lofa County, to commence a week-long visit celebrating cultural events and engaging with traditional leaders, residents, and officials.

The visit began on Saturday, December 21, 2024, with a warm reception in Voinjama, where traditional leaders and community members gathered to welcome the Vice President.

A grand ceremony was held at the Voinjama Administrative Building, attracting thousands eager to partake in this significant occasion.

On Sunday, December 22, the Vice President was scheduled to welcome President Joseph N. Boakai Sr. in Voinjama for the 60th anniversary celebration of the establishment of Grand Gedeh, Nimba, Bong, and Lofa counties.

This two-day event will highlight the historic and developmental strides made by these regions since obtaining county status in 1964.

“This visit is a testament to our commitment to fostering community ties and celebrating our rich cultural heritage,” said Vice President Koung. “I look forward to engaging with the people of Lofa County and honoring the significant milestones we have achieved together.”
