The Corruption Watch, a newspaper owned and operated by Roland Worwee, has honored the Forestry Development Authority (FDA)’s Deputy Managing Director for Administration and Finance, Victor W. Kpaiseh, for his diligent and remarkable services to the nation at the country’s forest sector. The honor of “Best Administrator of the Year 2024” was bestowed on Kpaiseh last Friday at his FDA office in Whein Town. The Corruption Watch also honored J. Rudolph Merab as the “Best Managing Director of the Year 2024”.
Presenting the certificate to the honorees, Corruption Watch Publisher, Roland Worwee, said the selection of Victor as the “Best Administrator of the Year 2024” and the selection of Rudolph as the “Best Managing Director of the Year 2024” were done following a thorough review process that was climaxed by board members of the institution through voting. He disclosed that the institution, at the end of every year, carries out the certification of best performing government officials of the year.
Worwee told the FDA Deputy Managing Director for Administration and Finance, Kpaiseh, that his institution will continue to monitor his activities in the new year and, if he fails to perform, the honor as “Best Administrator of the Year” will be bestowed on another person. He encouraged him to remain who he is, which led him to winning the certificate of honor of the year 2024. Worwee praised him for being serviceable and people-centered administrator at the Forestry Development Authority.
According to Worwee, Kpaiseh’s name was selected from a list of several government administrators at ministries and agencies.
In response to the honor, the FDA Deputy Managing Director for Administration and Finance, Kpaiseh, applauded the management of the Corruption Watch for closely following his works at the FDA, which resulted into the honor.
According to Kpaiseh, he did not know that people in society, including media institutions, were following his activities at the Forestry Development Authority.
He urged all the media institutions across the country to continue to watch over government officials’ activities at their respective workplaces. According to him, Liberia’s transformation squarely lies on all well-meaning citizens of the country and, as such, the watchdog of society (the media) needs to keep government officials’ feet to the fire.
He welcomed the honor and admonished the publisher of the Corruption Watch to keep monitoring the activities of the officials at the Forestry Development Authority (FDA).
Kpaiseh also received Managing Director Merab’s certificate on his behalf due to his absence because of pressing issues during the presentation of the certificate. The ceremony was witnessed by staff of the Forestry Development Authority (FDA) and the media.
