The Paynesville Magisterial Court has issued out an unrestricted arrest order for a criminal fugitive, Clay Johnson, charged with the crime of theft of property by deception.

A bounty of US$150 has been put on fugitive Johnson’s head, for any individual who comes across him and informs any security officer to effect his arrest.

According to the arrest order, the court mandates any peaceful officer, be it private, including officers of Liberia National Police (LNP), or any citizen to effect Johnson’s arrest if seen anywhere at anytime, day or night hours, constituting the legal right of said officer or individual.

The fugitive, who claimed to be an employee of the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) assigned with the corporation’s detachment in Careysburg, is believed to be a nephew of a late former employee of the LEC, who was popularly known as Cester, a resident of Ducor Community, Snapper Hill, Monrovia.

Johnson is said to have criminally extorted US$500 from a peaceful resident of Careysburg, known as Boimah Massaley under the pretense of being an LEC employee, and promised to connect his promises to the corporation’s power line.

The court’s arrest order states that Johnson’s action violated section 15.51 of the New Penal Law of Liberia.

Massaley, a private prosecutor appeared recently before the court and complained that the purported LEC’s employee unfairly collected the money from him and deceitfully told him that he would use the funds to buy materials to connect his premises to the LEC’s power line.

He described Johnson as a short, black young man with a mutilated mark on his face.

Appearing frustrated over Johnson’s criminal action, he provided Johnson’s contact as 0775586407/0886363718 to enable security officers to easily identify him, if seen, and arrest him.

He further put a bounty of US$150 on Johnson’s head for anyone who provides information leading to his arrest. Massaley thus provided as well his contact, 0777864850/0888392829, that he may be informed when Johnson is seen and arrested.

He informed the court that since Johnson criminally collected the money from him he has been on the run.

In a related development, the Liberia National Police (LNP) is seeking assistance from the public in obtaining information that may aid in the on-going investigation into the death of Sianeah Victoria Goe, who tragically passed away on June 20, 2025, in Boys Town, Margibi County, Republic of Liberia.

The LNP is offering a reward of US$2,000 (two thousand United States dollars) to any individual who provides credible information leading to the identification and apprehension of those responsible for this incident.

Members of the public with relevant information are urged to contact the following contact numbers: 0770800106, 0770800111, 0770800410, 0770800415, the nearest police station or reach out directly to the LNP Crime Services Department (CSD) through official communication channels.

The Liberia National Police (LNP) has assured the public that all information provided will be treated with the strictest confidentiality.
