The National Customs Brokers Association of Liberia (NCBAL) is set to go to election on Saturday, March 30, 2024 to elect a new leadership.

According to the Chairman of the NCBAL’s ah-hoc election commission, Emmanuel T. Doe, the customs brokers’ election comes after every three years.

Speaking with journalists at his Bushrod Island office on Thursday, March 28, 2024, Doe said he is confident that the election process will be free, fair, transparent and void of violence.

He indicated that, in order to keep the momentum and the good spirit of candidates vying for various posts at the NCBAL, members of the association will converge on Broad Street today, March 29, 2024 to carry out a parade through the principal streets of Monrovia.

Speaking further, Doe informed newsmen that campaign activities preceding the election process ended midnight of March 28, 2024. This, he added, was meant to provide a leveled playing field for the contestants to freely participate in the election without any interference.

He used the occasion to admonish members of the NCBAL and those vying for various posts to remain calm and peacefully take part in the election process without any intimidation.
