A Liberian charity organization based in the United States, Armah and Lydia Lansanah Foundation, has donated assorted items to the Mother Victoria Thomas Orphanage Home in New Mataldi, Sinkor, valued nearly US$7,000 (seven thousand United States dollars).
The Founder of the charity, Armah D. Lansanah, said the donation was made possible through the Master Cleaning and Consulting Services, also based in the United States. Armah told journalists that this was the beginning of the launch of the foundation’s annual humanitarian assistance, not just for the Mother Thomas Orphanages home but for other less fortunate Liberian children. He said the official launch of their website will shortly be launched in the United States to encourage other fortunate Liberians to put a smile on the children of Liberia.
Presenting the assorted items, which include medication, oil, rice, clothes and sweets on Saturday, April 10, 2021, Armah D. Lansanah said the gesture was his organization’s way of giving back to the New Matadi community, where he grew up as a child.
Armah D. Lansanah disclosed that he has been away from Liberia for nearly a decade, but after his studies, as a passionate Liberian humanitarian, he decided to return home. He advised the children of the Victoria Thomas Orphanage Home to always be focused, truthful and see education as the key to success anywhere in the world today.
Receiving the assorted medication, clothes and food items, the Founder of the Mother Victoria Thomas Orphanage Home, Victoria Thomas, said it was a joy to see one of New Mataldi community’s sons making such a donation where he grew up. Mother Thomas, while showering praises and blessings on the Armah and Lydia Foundation for the gesture, challenged the Armah and Lydia Foundation to go a step further by helping hundreds of thousands of less fortunate and destitute Liberian children who have no mother or father across the country.
