The Democratic People’s Party of Liberia (DPPL), one of the newest political parties in the country, seems to be  making headways in terms of impacting the livelihood of  the  Liberian  people.

Already, the DPPL has started women empowerment program in Monsterrado County.

Over the weekend, the DPPL’s Buchanan headquarters, Grand  Bassa County, was a scene of jubilation among  dwellers of Say-Pue Hill community for the coming in of a vocational training program in that side of  the country.

Speaking  at  the launching ceremony of the DPPL vocational initiative, Rev. David Kiamu, the Political  Leader  of  the party, noted that the program marks the  DPPL’s commitment to addressing capacity building in Liberia.

He told the crowd that his party believes in “thinking big but starting small and building deep”.

According to him, his party’s vision is to transform every segment of the Liberian society. He said DPPL is a political platform designed to transform Liberia physically and spiritually.

Rev. Kiamu said Liberia is suffering from physical and spiritual problems.

According to him, if a leader should succeed in Liberia he needs to prioritize God, adding that Liberia was given to  God at its foundation stage.

He said one of the contributing factors responsible for Liberia’s backwardness is the lack of good leadership to   handle the country.

Kiamu said Liberia deserves the best as Africa’s oldest nation. He said the Bible says, “blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.”

As it relates to the party’s platform, the DPPL political leader noted that a DPPL plan is underway to kick off programs across Liberia meant to empower the people of the country.

He told the people that the George Weah administration is doing its best to solve some of the major problems in the country, which said worth appreciation.

He said his party is not interested in condemning others, but to help solve the problems.

For now, the DPPL vocational school offers introduction to computer, introduction to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel and Access.
