The Concerned Christian community (CCC) has convened a weeklong workshop with the objective of establishing interfaith peace in various communities.

Speaking to the Hot Pepper recently, Rev. Dr. Abare Yunusa Kallah said Liberians should maintain the peace by engaging communities and other stakeholders.

Speaking in an interview with reporters on October 24, 2022, he said the workshop would help undo acts of violence in Liberia’s general electoral, political and communal activities.

At the same time, the Chief Executive officer of Concerned Christian Community said 75 years ago the UN was established to ensure that the world does not go back to war, and the CCC was celebrating the UN’s anniversary.

According to him, the CCC through the week would be launching the community workshop that will bring together community leaders from the Christian, Muslim and traditional sectors to build on the peace.

He said all Liberian should maintain the peace, and this is why the CCC was calling on all to engage each other on the peace message.

Bishop Brown said they are trying to work with local communities on peace building and this initiative is for Liberians, “so we should take it seriously”.

The initiative will be in four counties, discussing peace building in towns and villages to help halt violence across the country.
