Bomi County Representative, Haja Fata Siryon, says she is extremely impressed and happy for a donation in her absence of a new vehicle for use by the County Health Team to address her district’s health needs.
The Bomi County electoral district #3 representative said the gesture is a further manifestation of the readiness of the donor and First Lady of Liberia, Clar Weah, to stand by her husband in fulfilling promises to defend Liberia against Covid-19 and other health emergencies.
The Bomi lawmaker said the vehicles donated to the health team will make it easier for doctors assigned in the district to conduct regular surveillance on emerging diseases, and advice the county on what to do.
She emphasized that the lack of vehicle to conduct emergency health care delivery, especially services involving pregnant women and victim of road accident, is the main cause of premature deaths in Swen-Mecca and Dewon districts.
Representative Haja Fata siryon also thanked the Health Minister, Wilhelmina Jallah, for her role in acquiring the vehicle, and appealed to the minister to ensure that the donation is turned over to the County Health team in time to begin saving the lives of Bomi citizens.
