At least five persons have died and others made homeless as a result of a fire outbreak on late Tuesday night (early Wednesday morning) along the Charles Sirleaf Guest’s House Road, Cowfield community, Du-Port Road, district #4, Montserrado County.

The five persons who left in the fire were said to include   Jennifer Johnson, 37 years; Pauline Myers, 26 years;Eleazar P. Zamerzar, 16 years; Cecelia Fallah, 11 years; and Alexander Johnson, 4 years.

However, the cause of the fire remains unknown, as the National Fire and Rescue Service (NFRS) has launched an investigation to ascertain the cause of the fire outbreak.

A team from the Liberia National Red Cross Society (LNRCS) later intervened, took away the remains of the fire victims and helped to give them a proper burial. The LNRCS team extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and everyone affected by the tragic fire incident.

“It’s a heartbreaking situation, and we hope the community finds strength and support during this difficult time. May the souls of the departed rest in peace,” the LNRCS noted.
