Foreign Minister Nyanti Attends AU 44th Ordinary Session In Ethiopia

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Her Excellency Sara Beysolow Nyanti, is in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to attend the 44th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council, and will represent H.E. President Joseph Nyuma Boakia at the 37th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State as Head of the Liberian delegation.

   Minister Nyanti, who departed the country Wednesday, February 14, 2024, is among African Ministers of Foreign Affairs and dignitaries from across the African Continent.

   According to a Foreign Ministry dispatch, the 44th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council will be held from February 14—15, 2024 at the headquarters of the African Union in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

   The African Ministers of Foreign Affairs will adopt reports of the ministerial meeting organized by the African Union Commission during the period under review.

   Meanwhile, the 37th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government is scheduled to take place from February 17—18 2024.

   Leaders of several African countries are arriving in Addis Ababa to attend the 37th Ordinary Session of the Heads of State and Government of the African Union, which commences on February 17, 2024.

   Leaders and senior government officials of Libya, Algeria, Angola, Djibouti, Liberia, South Sudan, Namibia, Benin. Sierra Leone, and South Africa arrived there on Wednesday.

   The delegations are represented by their respective presidents vice presidents and prime ministers, as well as foreign ministers.

   The delegations were accorded warm welcome by top Ethiopian government officials and AU Commissioner upon their arrival at the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport.
