The United States government has exposed another “fraudster” who wants to tap on the weak system of Liberia to cling unto the presidency. Dr. Daniel E. Cassell, Political Leader of the People Liberation Party (PLP), was on Thursday, March 17, 2022 arrested by the Clayton County Sheriff’s office in Jonesboro, Georgia, USA, for absconding justice.

Dr. Cassell, who claims to be the alternative for the presidency come 2023 amidst the CDC government’s alleged massive failure and the ineptitude of the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP), was arrested on “fugitive from justice” charge, and is supposedly in prison pending the issuance of a valid bond. He stands accused of billing clients multiple times.

The Vision Bearer of the PLP is a licensed clinical drugs and alcohol counselor, but it appears like some of his clients had suffered multiple bills from his Kwenyan Professional Health Services—paying multiple times for the same service rendered.

In Liberia, it is said, “99 days for rogue, one day for master”, and this statement seems more appropriate to describe the situation of Dr. Cassell, as his past begins to haunt him. What seems more damaging is that this situation could bring to end his political journey in little Monrovia, as Liberian jurisprudence forbids a convicted felon from contesting any elected position in the country.

The Hot Pepper exerted effort to talk to Dr. Cassell in order to ascertain his arrest and to know whether he has been bailed out, but to no avail. However, speaking to the paper last night, the Chairman of the PLP, Tapple E. Doe, argued that the news of Dr. Cassell’s arrest was strange to them, and that they would revert to the paper with the appropriate information. However, Chairman Doe’s phone rang endlessly when contacted later for the party’s statement on the matter.

Observers are wondering about the fate of the PLP, as its Political Leader has been entangled with deep mess and may not be qualified to contest the 2023 presidential election.
