Gbarpolu New PMC Chairman Vows To Work In Conformity With PFM Law
The newly elected head of the Project Management Committee (PMC) of Gbarpolu County, Robert Dickenson Benda, has vowed to work in conformity with the Project Financial Management (PFM) law of Liberia.
Benda, a young Liberian professional with background in financial management, project management, monitoring and evaluation, among other professions, was recently elected by officials of Gbarpolu County at the just-ended county sitting.
Benda has worked with the Government of Liberia (GOL) as a financial expert, USAID support program, European Union support project program and other bilateral grants through local and international partners in Liberia.
Gbarpolu’s new PMC Chairman noted that, with his level of experience in the financial sector, the Project Management Committee (PMC) of the county will perform in accordance with its mandate. He said he and his teammates will work in a system of transparency and accountability for the people of the county.
Currently, Gbarpolu County has no concession, and is backward in terms of major developments such as road connectivity, good infrastructures, among other development.
The new PMC team has a three-year mandate.
