“He Disgraced The Womanhood He Slept With For Eight Years”; Cllr. Johnny Momoh’s Fiancée Testifies In Court
The fiancée of renowned Liberian lawyer, Cllr. Johnny Momoh, Marie Nallon, on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 provided video and footage evidence to the Stipendiary Magistrate against her husband, Cllr. Momoh, while on the witness stand.
In the video evidence, Cllr. Momoh is seen publicly disgracing her before her son who came to Liberia for a visit for the first time in fifteen years.
“This renowned corporate lawyer, Supreme Court lawyer, violated womanhood, especially this woman that he slept with for eight unbroken years. I also have recording that I will give this court where he is threatening that he will send his men to harm me,” Nallon indicated.
“In that video, you will see Cllr. Momoh blocking me from entering in the house. Also, you will see his daughter, Ruth Momoh, and his brother referring to me as prostitute, and he telling me that his wife that he left for 18 years will sue me for damage because I stole her man.
Cllr. Momoh was dragged to court by his fiancée Nallon to face charges of domestic violence and criminal coercion.
Momoh, who mostly handles high-profile cases, was ordered arrested by Stipendiary Magistrate Ernest Bana of the Brewerville Magisterial Court after being sued by his fiancée Nallon.
Nallon had alleged that Momoh and his accomplices threw out her personal belongings, including jewelry worth US$500,000 and cash of US$75,000 and L$80,000, from their Virginia home while she was away on April 8.
During the trial on Wednesday, Nallon, while on the witness stand, was requested by prosecution to provide video evidence she earlier promised to present to the court.
“I have with me in my hands three disks containing evidence and action displayed by Cllr. Momoh assaulting me before my son, and these are the disks,” she stated.
The evidence was testified to, confirmed and marked by court and admitted into evidence.
According to her, on April 8, 2023, at about 6:30 a.m. she left her house and later received a call from her maid that Cllr. Johnny Momoh had come and he is throwing her things outside on ground that she no longer belonged in the house.
She noted that prior to Cllr. Momoh coming to forcefully remove her things from the house, he had left her for over six months for a new relationship without feeding her.
Nallon indicated that she did not embarrass Cllr. Momoh despite he restraining her privilege for six months and leaving her to feed herself.
“When I left the house to do my COVID-19 test, I was called that Cllr. Momoh and his accomplices had gone to throw my things outside. I informed the police about the action. When I got there, he prevented me from going into the house. Later, when the police came the other guys who went with him ran away,” she stated.
According to her, she and Cllr. Momoh were living at her family’s residence for approximately six years before they built their house and moved in together, maintaining that she was molested in the house that she and Cllr. Momoh built together.
She said the alleged action by the defendant has left her helpless, devastated and publicly ridiculed.
According to the lawsuit, the cash was intended for business purposes, but after her things were thrown out she was unlawfully restrained from entering the house and accused of being a criminal and forced to vacate the premises.
Momoh’s action, according to Nallon, has caused her a lot of emotional, psychological and economic abuse as she no longer has access to the house.
