The fiancée of Cllr. Johnny Momoh on Saturday August 12, 2023, while on cross-examination, tearfully told open court that for eight unbroken years she was tortured, suppressed and betrayed by Cllr. Momoh in the relationship.

Marie Nallon, when asked on the cross-examination by Cllr. Momoh, who is also representing himself in the trial as lawyer, concerning her benefits from the relationship, she said that she invested more in the relationship because she dreamed of a happy and prosperous home.

“I invested more in the relationship than I benefited. It’s not a secret because his appearance in this court now and everything that’s on him was bought from China and Italy with my own money. In this relationship, I didn’t just suffer both spiritual and physical attacks, but I was suppressed, tortured and betrayed,” Nallon stated.

Cllr. Momoh was dragged at the Brewerville Magisterial Court by his fiancée, Marie Nallon, for alleged acts of domestic violence, felonious restraint, criminal coercion and domestic violence after eight years of relationship.

According to the writ of arrest, Cllr. Momoh and his accomplices on Saturday, April 8 threw out the personal belongings of his fiancée, Marie Nallon, from their Virginia home while she was not at home.

The items allegedly include jewelries valued at US$500,000 and a cash of US$75,385 and L$80,000 the plaintiff had intended to travel with to China for business purpose, the writ of arrest showed.

It added that, still not satisfied, Cllr. Momoh unlawfully restrained Nallon from entering into the house, accused her of being a criminal and told her to vacate the premises.

The defendant’s action against his fiancée has reportedly caused her emotional, psychological and ecumenical abuse, the writ further noted.

Excerpt of the writ said, “That act of defendants being unlawful, wicked, and intentional… This being contrary to the force and effect of this statutory law of Liberia as made and proved against the peace and dignity of Liberia, and for doing so this shall constitute your legal and sufficient warrant.”

According to her, Cllr. Momoh disgraced her on numerous occasions in the community by sleeping with under-aged children, which she said he is aware of and that she has evidence in her possession.

She indicated that this same attitude of Cllr. Momoh has caused him to have six children by four mothers, and even leave and abandon his marital home to sleep around—only because he wants to satisfy his sexual appetite.

“I am the only woman that Cllr. Momoh met and rose under him. All the rest didn’t. While in this relationship, Cllr. Momoh envied me because of my business and told people close to him that I would break down, and to achieve that he really suppressed me. This man lived with me for eight years. I invested in him and thought he would change, but it’s unfortunate that today he decided to treat me this way and betrayed the love and trust,” she noted.

When asked by Cllr. Momoh concerning his informing her during a series of meetings that he did not want the relationship and could not stay with her any longer because it was bad for his health and happiness, she said that it is true that they had series of meetings but she just could not leave the house they built together.

“Do you expect me to just leave the house that I built and invested in like that? More to that, you left the house for over six months and you never knew how I was eating, and move into another woman’s house as usual. Do you really think about how I met you sick and made sure you did all your medication and surgical work outside to get better? Today you are treating me this way. But let me say this: I will be the last you will treat this way,” she stated.
