The Chief of Protocol of the Executive Mansion, Ambassador Nora Finda Bundoo, has donated 500 gallons of fuel to the River Gee County Office of the Ministry of Health for the Fish Town Referral Hospital.

The donation by the Executive Mansion Chief of Protocol is in commitment to provide monthly support to the Fish Town Referral Hospital. She also promised to provide logistical and other support to the Hospital and other public institutions in the county, aimed addressing the fuel and logistic needs being faced by these institutions.

Presenting the fuel on behalf of Ambassador Bundoo, the Superintendent of River Gee County, Philip Nyenuh, reiterated Ambassador Bundoo’s 2021 vow of providing support to government institutions in the county in order to alleviate the challenges they encounter in the implementation of their mandates.

Superintendent Nyenuh noted that the county’s authority under his leadership can postpone addressing other development issues facing the county but cannot afford to delay issues confronting the health services of the people of River Gee by a day. “The health of our people comes first,” he said.

He then used the occasion to call on other sons and daughters of the county to join efforts with Ambassador Bundoo in responding to the serious economic challenges faced by the county and the government as a result of COVID-19 pandemic.

Receiving the donation, River Gee County Health Officer, Dr. Trokon Washington, thanked Ambassador Bundoo for the gesture and prayed God’s blessings upon her for the continued support to the people of River Gee in particular and the country in general.

Dr. Washington then assured Ambassador Bundoo, the county’s authorities and the people of River Gee that the 500 gallons of fuel will be used for the intended purpose.

It can be recalled that Ambassador Bundoo, early this month donated a brand new Apache Motorbikes, valued at US$4,300, to the River Gee County Detachment of the Liberia National Police (LNP).
