In Tragic Motor Accident On RIA Highway: Pres. Boakai’s Convoy Leaves One Dead, Several Injured

President Joseph N. Boakai’s convoy, while in route to dedicate the “Love A Child Orphanage” in VOA community, Robertsfield Highway, was involved in a fatal accident, reportedly leaving one person dead and several others injured; writes Ojuku Silver-tongue Kangar, Jr.

   According to information, while the President was on his way to perform the dedication, the fourth vehicle in his convoy, license plate, “65”, hit a tricycle, which was said to have unlawfully got on the road before the last vehicle of the convoy could pass. According to Press Secretary Kula Fofana, one person died instantly on the accident scene, while three others sustained injuries and are hospitalized at RLEA Hospital.

   President Joseph N. Boakai, after meeting with Liberian women at the Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf Ministerial Complex, paid a courtesy visit to the hospital.

   According to report, one of the patients, who is in a critical condition, has been transferred to the John F. Medical Hospital for further treatment.
