The Secretary General of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), Mayor Jefferson Tamba Koijee, has urged citizens of Nimba County to seek their county’s interest and not personal interest.

He made the statement during the launch of the “Nimba for Weah 2023” over the weekend, which was held in Saclepea, Nimba County. The Secretary General said citizens of Nimba should focus on unity and not division in the county.

According to him, people should not use division because it only benefits an individual and not the entire county, adding that not only individuals develop a county, but the fixed mindset.

“This county has gone through so much, to the extent that individuals in this county have benefited only because they have purported to be in the interest of the county,” Secretary General Koijee told the Nimbaians.

He disclosed that Nimba County is saying that “you will decide because there is a perception that there are more people from different regions in the government. You should be asking what is in it for Nimba County.

“This is about time that the finest sons and daughters of this county from the diaspora and across Liberia come and launch a revolution that will not see religion and tribes, a revolution that stands against division, and focuses on peace and development,” Koijee stated.
