The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed compliments to the embassy of the United States of America near Monrovia, and therewith forwarded a congratulatory message from His Excellency President George Manneh Weah, addressed to The Honorable Joseph R. Biden, Jr., President of the United States of America, on the occasion marking the 247th Independence Anniversary of the United States of America, on July 4, 2023.

“On behalf of the government and people of the Republic of Liberia, and in my own name, I have the great pleasure to extend warm felicitations to you, and through you to the government and friendly people of the United States of America on the exceptional occasion of the 247th Independence Anniversary of your great country,” President Weah’s congratulatory message to President Biden noted.

“As you and the people of the United States commemorate another milestone in your national existence, we recall vividly the historic bond of friendship and cooperation subsisting between our two countries and peoples, which continues to be increasingly enhanced.

“As Liberia’s closest traditional bilateral partner, we will continue to engage positively with the United States to build on our strong existing bilateral framework, as well as to cooperate with the United States in the fight to achieve and sustain international peace and security,” the President’s message, on behalf of the people of Liberia, stated.

“Please accept, Mr. President, my very best wishes for your personal well-being and continued wisdom as you steadily lead your great people and country on the continued irreversible path to sustained peace, stability and prosperity, with profound sentiments,” the President’s message continued.
