The Liberia Maritime Authority (LiMA) has been awarded the distinction of the highest income tax remitting institution by the Liberia Revenue Authority, underscoring the authority’s strong commitment to fiscal responsibility and national development.

The recognition reflects LiMA’s consistent compliance with Liberia’s tax laws and its significant contribution to domestic revenue generation. The award also highlights the institution’s sound financial management practices and dedication to transparency and accountability in public service under the leadership of Commissioner/CEO Cllr. Neto Zarzar Lighe Sr.

Commissioner Lighe described the achievement as a testament to the inclusive hard work and dedication of the team at the institution, which have continued to strengthen operational efficiency and uphold the authority’s mandate in advancing Liberia’s maritime sector.

Over the years, the Liberia Maritime Authority has implemented key reforms aimed at improving institutional performance, enhancing revenue mobilization, and promoting good governance within the maritime industry. These efforts have contributed to the institution’s growing reputation as one of Liberia’s leading public sector entities.

The authority reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the government development agenda through responsible financial stewardship and continued contributions to the country’s economic growth.
