LIS Embarks On Nationwide Alien and Naturalization Awareness
The Naturalization Department of the Liberia Immigration Service (LIS) has embarked on a nationwide Alien and Naturalization validation exercise.
Speaking in a telephone conversation with OK FM on Tuesday, the Deputy Commissioner General for Naturalization, Liberia Immigration Service (LIS), Atty. Asatu Bah-Kenneth, said the move is intended to verify and validate documents of aliens across Liberia.
According to Atty. Kenneth, the tour is also intended to ensure that aliens who are aspiring to become citizens of Liberia have in their possession the rightful documents, including resident permit.
It can be recalled that in 2015 the Liberia Immigration Service (LIS) launched a program to implement and enforce the Alien and Nationality Law of Liberia.
Deputy Commissioner Bah-Kenneth is however calling on all aliens to comply and form part of the process, in order to save themselves from future embarrassment.
