As part of its corporate social responsibility, the Liberia Immigration Service (LIS) has provided humanitarian assistance to two orphan-care institutions in Montserrado County: Journey Against Violence (JAV) and the Center for Rehabilitation and Reintegration.

The donation, which included several bags of rice, containers of cooking oil and tissue, was presented on behalf of the LIS leadership by Comptroller Patrick Dolo, Director for Administration.

Speaking during the presentation ceremony, held on November 20, 2025, Director Dolo noted that the initiative forms part of the institution’s commitment to addressing societal needs and supporting organizations contributing to national development.

Receiving the items, Evangelist Joshua Milton Blahyi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of one of the institutions, expressed gratitude to the LIS for what he described as a timely intervention.

According to him, the support will go a long way in helping the homes to continue their daily operation and services to vulnerable children.

The donation underscores the Liberia Immigration Service’s continued support, not only in national security, but also in community engagement and humanitarian support.
