The Liberian National Bar Association (LNBA) will on Friday, January 31, 2025 induct its newly elected officials, and has therefore announced a 31-member committee to steer the affairs of the transitional and inaugural ceremony, with a mandate to ensure a seamless and professional transition of leadership.

According to a LNBA release, the LNBA Transitional and Inaugural Committee is comprised of esteemed members of the bar, which have been carefully selected to uphold the association’s tradition of excellence and professionalism. “The Chairperson of the Committee, Cllr. Kuku Y. Dorbor, has been granted the authority to constitute the membership into subcommittees to streamline workloads and efficiently manage the various activities leading to a successful inauguration,” the release observed.

The committee is further mandated to organize the inaugural ceremony: ensure proper planning, logistics and execution of the inauguration of the officers-elect; facilitate a smooth transition: work closely with out-going and in-coming officers to guarantee a seamless transfer of leadership and responsibilities; and constitute subcommittees: the Chairperson has the discretion to organize members into specialized subcommittees (e.g. logistics, protocol, media, finance) to optimize the workflow and manage specific tasks effectively

Members of the committee include Cllr. Kuku Y. Dorbor, Chairperson; Cllr. Kanio Gba Gbala, Co-Chair/Administration; Cllr. Evelyn Lah Gongloe; Co-Chair/Operation; Cllr. Julius Ronnie Addy, Secretary; Cllr. Milton D. Taylor, Advisor; Cllr. B. Rachell Yabah-Dubah, Out-going Treasurer, Ex-Officio; Atty. Jeremiah Samuel Dugbo, Ex-Officio representing the Office of the President-elect; and Cllr. Elisha T.J. Forkeyoh, LNBA SG-elect, Ex-Officio.

The bar acknowledged the vital role of this committee in fostering unity, professionalism and the continued growth of the association, and encouraged all members to extend their support to the committee in the execution of the significant mandate.

In a related development, the LNBA leadership is inviting its entire membership, including the Chief Justice and Associate Justices, senior legal counsels, judges, magistrates, counsellors, attorneys, law students and the public to grace the ceremony marking the inauguration of the new leadership of the bar, which will take place on Friday, January 31, 2025 at the EJS Ministerial Complex at 2:00 p.m.
