The Anti-robbery Unit of the Liberia National Police (LNP) on Thursday, October 3, 2024 arrested suspects Emmanuel Johnson alias Wallace, Alfred Lablah alias Puyol, Junior Bundor alias Prince, Malachi Eze alias Promise, and Leemu Tabah for allegedly armed robbing a Chinese national, Joseph Xu, a resident of Congo Town.

According to police preliminary investigation conducted, the suspects on Friday, September 13, 2024, at about 2:00 a.m., broke into victim Joseph Xu’s home, placed him and his wife at gunpoint, and made away with an unspecified amount of cash and other valuables.

The investigation further revealed that the same group of suspects were in the process of entering the premises of Joseph Xu at about 12:45 a.m., on Thursday, October 3, 2024, when they were arrested by the Anti-robbery Unit in two separate vehicles (taxi). Several items, including pin-bar, one steel cutter, diazepam drug (used to drug their victims) and several keys were discovered.    The two vehicles, TX-03201 and a Nissan sedan without a plate, are currently impounded at the headquarters of the LNP while an investigation into the matter continues.
