In recognition of the exceptional leadership to services and contribution to the development of Liberia, the GetVisioned International Missions, in collaboration with A.M. Kyne Collegiate Resource Center, has awarded Monrovia City Mayor, Jefferson T. Koijee, and Vice President, Dr. Jewel Howard- Taylor, with the Grand International Service Award.

Also, eighty frontline workers, such as police officers, teachers and nurses were honored in various categories, including services and contributions in government and in other areas of the society.

According to GetVisioned and A.M. Kyne Collegiate Resource Center, Vice President Taylor and Mayor Koijee earned the accolade for their exemplified good leadership and dedicated commitment to services.

VP Taylor’s award was received by a proxy, Deputy Minister of Health, Norwu Howard, a sister to the VP.

The ceremony, which took place at the Monrovia City Hall on Thursday night, April 27, 2023, also saw Koijee receiving the key to the region of the city of Florida, United States of America.

Dr. Michelle Richards pinpointed that it was a great honor for all the good work the Mayor has been doing in Monrovia. “When you’re given the key to our region, you have access to our city and special favor,” she stated.

In her keynote address, GetVisioned International Missions’ Founder, Dr. Michelle Richards, acknowledged that leaders are confronted with several challenges which sometimes affect their job, but encouraged Liberians to always pray for those who lead them.

Following receipt of his award, Mayor Jefferson T. Koijee expressed excitement and thanked GetVisioned International Missions and A.M. Kyne Collegiate Resource Center for the award.

He praised Kyne and described him as an unsung hero, whom he said has been working in silence as he makes more impact to the development of key areas of the Liberian society.

“I am touched as a young man to receive this award. I am elated and fulfilled, and believe that this land somehow is destined for greatness. We want to say thank you in a special way,” Mayor Koijee said.

Other recipients of awards at the occasion who spoke in separate remarks expressed gratitude to the organizers of the program. They went further to appreciate GetVisioned International Missions and A.M. Kyne Collegiate Resource Center for making available US$60,000 worth of scholarships for the young people of Liberia.
