In recognition of the death of fallen former Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, Dr. Fredrick B. Norkeh, the Minister of Posts & Telecommunications, Cllr. Cooper W. Kruah, Sr., opened a book of condolence on Thursday, November 10, 2022, inviting the public and all employees to sign in remembrance of the good and dedicated services offered under the administration of the former minister.

Minister Kruah placed the first signature in the book, followed by the Deputy Minister for Administration, Cllr. Edward K. Goba, and then other deputy and assistant ministers of the ministry who also signed the book of condolence.

During the opening of the signing ceremony, Minister Kruah reminded employees that some of the major programs in the ministry were initiated by Dr. Norkeh. “He is the pillar of most of the works we are doing here today,” Minister Kruah stated.

He encouraged the employees to take solace in the Lord and continue the good work of the minister, who worked diligently for the country and the ministry.

The minister also reminded them of some of his achievements, to include the arrival of the ACE cable to Liberia in 2011, the deployment of the internet fiber optic between Freeport and ELWA intersections, the establishment of the Project Management Office, the establishment of the Chief Information Office (CIO), among other things.

Dr. Norkeh’s funeral service was held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 in Sanniquellie, where high-ranking employees were dispatched to represent the interest of the ministry.
