The President of the National Teachers Association of Liberia (NTAL) has disclosed a plan by the association to launch the first-ever teachers’ lesson plan book and roll book soon in the country.

Mary Mulbah-Nyumah, head of the National Teachers Association of Liberia, said in her statement to the Hot Pepper that the lesson plan and roll book for public school teachers are designed to help buttress the government’s effort in addressing the many challenges confronted by Liberian teachers today.

She said the lesson plan book will enable public school teachers to provide the necessary instructional content to students.

According to her, with this concept of lesson plan and roll book from the National Teachers Association of Liberia, she is optimistic that the learning environment of public schools will become more conducive.

Nyumah noted that the launch is expected anytime this week at the headquarters of the association.

At the same time, the boss of the National Teachers Association of Liberia also commented on her tenure at the NTAL, 2018—2022. The NTAL president’s tenure lasts for four years, and Nyumah’s tenure ends 2022. This year the association is excepted to conduct its national convention for a new code of officers for the next four years.

When questioned about achievements made since her ascendency at the National Teachers Association of Liberia, she responded as saying that the headquarters of the NTAL is one of the major achievement made in the history of the NTAL.

She said an NTAL plan is underway to embark on a major awareness campaign at various public schools in Liberia for the purpose of informing them about the significance of NTAL to teachers in Liberia.

The National Teachers Association of Liberia (NTAL) is an institution established by law to advocate and implement projects in the interest of teachers in Liberia. The association has over 12,000 members.
